With Mothers Day fast approaching, I thought it would be really fun to have a few Mothers Day themed tutorials on my blog! It's always fun to make + buy things for our mum's on Mothers Day, I really enjoy picking different gifts out each year. Today I am going to show you a few different things you can do to make your mum's day extra special this year.
BREAKFAST IN BED
Breakfast in bed is the perfect treat for your mum on Mothers Day. You could cook her all sorts of different fancy (or simple) breakfast foods. I think every single year we have made my mum pancakes - they're super easy and super yummy! You can put the food onto a special tray table with cutlery, flowers, a card, a cup of tea - anything you like. My gorgeous tray table/chopping board and flowers are both from Target.
MASON JAR GIFT
I think this mason jar gift is a super cute + easy craft that anyone of all ages can make. I'm sure that any mum would love it!
You will need:
Some little, mini decorations (I am using these crochet hearts, but you could use pom-poms, glitter, figurines, jewels or anything else you have lying around)
a pen, some paper and some chalk (optional)
Write out some messages for your mum on a piece of paper. You can write anything you want - thinks you love about her, what you're thankful for, special memories. Things that'll make her smile! Next, cut out your messages and roll them into little scrolls.
Fill up your jar with the decorations and messages, making sure to spread them around evenly. Write a message on the chalkboard (optional) and you're finished! Give it to your mum as is, or put it in a box and decorate it/wrap it up for a surprise.
One thing my mum loves is family photos. I decided to give her some this year! You could take some new photos specially for mothers day, or use some photos you've taken previously. I decided to print out 3 of my favourite family photos from when my brother Jasper and I were younger. Some of them were taken on previous Mothers Days, so it will be super special!
GIFT WRAPPING IDEA
I love wrapping up presents. It is heaps of fun! I thought I would show you my favourite way to wrap presents, by using brown paper and wool. I am wrapping up one of my mum's Mothers Day presents, this hand mixer from Target.
All you do is wrap the present in the brown paper, tie the wool around the present a few times and secure it with a couple of bows. Add on a card/gift tag that matches the wool for the finishing touch!
Happy Mothers day to all the mums out there :) I hope you enjoy your special day! Thank-you so much for reading everybody! xx
